BRBN Training Session Advanced Business Networking Skills to Build a Better Business
BRBN organised their first training session of 2026 for members and local small business owners. Starting at 5.30pm with drinks and welcome networking lead into host Julian Minshall introducing BRBN member, Business Coach John Olivant, to deliver tonights training split into two sessions, with light finger food and refreshments at the halfway interval.
John commented, “The purpose of this session is to introduce the concept of business networking as a strategic process to build a better business. If you ask, you’ll find that most small business owners have an opinion on business networking. For everyone who enjoys and values it – you’ll find another who visibly shudders at the mere mention of the word. But why does networking seem to polarise small business owners? Is it a massive untapped opportunity, or is it an uncomfortable evening or early morning in the company of strangers with cold coffee and or cocktail sausages”?
The training session explored how Networking is more than just gaining a few referrals and ‘word of mouth’ marketing. Done right business networking is a complete small business infrastructure.
In the session, attendee’s were shown how you can build a networking infrastructure that will really does work for them and their business covering the following;-
Understanding The Networking Elements.
Word of Mouth Marketing.
Why Networking Doesn’t Work.
Know, like, and trust.
Referral Kits
The Seven Principles of Good Networking.
