Sharon Drew 10 minutes - Practical Sales Development

The cross section of knowledge and expertise was highlighted today as Sharon delivered an insightful 10 minutes on her career, her business and implementing sales development strategies to fulfill the potential of the business and it’s staff.

Through effective networking and strong sales training, Sharon went through the key areas and elements that are required to build lasting relationships and achieving successful outcomes.

Networking creates opportunities to connect with potential customers, partners, and stakeholders, while good sales training equips people with the confidence and skills to communicate value clearly and professionally. When staff understand the purpose behind a project or initiative, they are more likely to gain genuine buy-in from others.

Sharon mentioned, “Successful implementation comes from consistency, active listening, and responding to customer needs rather than simply promoting a product or service. Well-trained teams build trust, overcome objections positively, and create meaningful conversations that lead to long-term engagement”.

Sharon answered a number of questions and summed up with these final thoughts, “practical sales techniques encourages collaboration, strengthens community support, increases customer loyalty, and helps ensure initiatives are embraced and sustained over time”.

As the membership moved on to the 60 seconds slot, directed by host Chris Leadley, all the members delivered eloquent elevator pitches finishing with a request for whpo they would like to meet up with this week.
