BRBN 100 mile Ride London Challenge for Mac’s Trust!
12/08/2019

On Sunday 4th August together with ca. 30,000 cyclists, Julian, Chairman of Beverley Referral Business Network (BRBN), rode the Prudential Ride London - 100 miles of cycling through London and Surrey - to raise money for Mac’s Trust.
Julian was sponsored £1 per mile by the Business Network, and after successfully making it through the ballot to take part in the event, Julian took on the challenge with gusto! Completing the ride in good time, motivated to collect the first £100 donated to the Trust by BRBN.
The founder of Mac’s Trust, Allen Slinger owner of The Tiger Inn, created the Trust in memory of his much-loved pub dog Mac. Mac’s Trust is an umbrella charity fund established to distribute all donations to the Trust back into the community via the variety of local causes the Tiger Inn supports.
Julian is delighted to have raised the £100, which was handed over by Tony Hall, BRBN treasurer to Allen to get the Trust started. Hopefully this will encourage other people to get out there and raise money for much needed causes.
The local charities that Mac’s Trust supports include: Emmaus, East Riding Branch of Guide Dogs, East Yorkshire MacMillan Cancer Support, RSPCA (Clough Road, Hull), Beverley Braves Under 6s and 7s, Beverley Ladies Netball Team, Beverley Ladies Football Team.
BRBN is a group of local businesses that meet every Wednesday morning at The Tiger Inn, Beverley, between 7am and 9am. It provides an excellent opportunity to network, pass on business opportunities and share business experience. BRBN is currently looking for new business owners to join the group.
