Organisation is king! - 10 Minutes by Aeonian Projects.

With the current and ever-changing situation, many physical networking meetings have moved online, and at BRBN it’s no different. The solidarity, positivity and community spirit that exists within the group is still going strong, and it was certainly present at this week’s meeting.

Dr. Sam Linton, owner of Aeonian Projects, gave a presentation based around computer filing. On face value what doesn’t seem like an important topic is perhaps central to ensuring your business runs smoothly. Knowing where important files can be found and finding them at the drop of a hat is certainly preferable to regularly spending 5-10 minutes looking for something that you know is there somewhere!

Sam provided us with some essential advice and suggestions on how to file important digital information based on business functions, activities and resultant transactions. Developing standard file-naming systems and ensuring everyone sticks to these is also a major step towards consistent filing that is easily managed.

With 1-2-1 meetings still going ahead either virtually are in a socially distanced office environment and keeping to government guidelines, many referrals are being passed on, it was a productive as well as a positive meeting!
