Beverley Community Lift Boost

Beverley Community Lift receives a BRBN boost!

Beverley Community Lift, an essential local transport service, received a big boost recently when local group Beverley Referral Business Network (BRBN) donated £250.

Charity Lead Fiona Wales, was over the moon at the news of the donation, and was on hand to receive the big cheque from the BRBN treasurer Tony Hall.

Many charities have faced challenging times recently as a consequence of the Covid-19 pandemic, and Beverley Community Lift is no exception. With their charity shop on Sow Hill Row in Beverley out of action during lockdown, one source of income was instantly cut off.

Having recently celebrated its 50th birthday, Beverley Community Lift has made a wonderful contribution to society over a long period of time, and people from across our region still rely on their excellent service today. With access to minibuses and supported by a large group of volunteer drivers and support staff, people from Beverley to Pocklington are able to do their shopping, attend important appointments, and meet up with friends. The charity provides a vital facility to those who use it, and without it many would struggle.
