Business rewards those who network!
Coming to the close of 2020, we start to reflect on the months that have gone, and boy, what a year it’s been! Many sectors and businesses across the country have, sadly, been acutely affected by Covid-19, but there are also a number that have continued to perform throughout this tumultuous time.
The BRBN group meeting this week, as usual an upbeat event, demonstrated that there certainly are businesses that continue to thrive despite current circumstances. Andy Burton of Burton Electrical Solutions used his entire pitch to give messages of thanks to many members around the table, all of whom had previously made referrals to Andy and his business.
The reminder slot highlighted that such referrals are testament to quality of the work carried out, the diligence of the group’s members and, indeed, the quality of the referrals themselves. The business is trusted, and customers are satisfied with the service they receive. Networking is clearly a valuable tool!
The presentation this week was a brief overview of the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s recent announcement. Amongst the many points mentioned, two will have an important impact on our local area; the increase of the National Minimum Wage, which is great news for people nation-wide, and the levelling up fund, which means increased money to local projects.
