2021 - Carry On Networking!

On Wednesday 6th January BRBN held its first meeting after the Christmas and New Year break.

As with all BRBN meetings, members were true to form with enthusiasm and optimism coming to the fore.

The obvious topic for light-hearted discussion and reflection was of course the new lockdown. Although it may well be a painful process to experience, many business owners in the group were not prepared to let it get them down, but instead to “carry on networking”; it pays off in the long run.

In the ‘education’ slot, the words of which echoed throughout the rest of the meeting, the group was reminded of its own strengths. Positivity, a wealth of knowledge and the desire to help others at whatever stage of their business seem to be its defining factors. Looking at what we do have, and not focussing on what we don’t is an important perspective to keep in mind.

The main feature of the meeting were the breakout rooms - a chance to catch up with fellow members for a one to one. A great opportunity to learn more about their business and any recent developments.

As our first meeting came to a close members highlighted how glad they were to get back into the swing of networking, reiterating the words of the earlier ‘education slot’.
