BRBN asks: “are you prepared?”
04/03/2021

The moral of today’s meeting was ‘be prepared.’ It’s all too easy to overlook those things that we think, and even hope, we may never need — emergency protocols for data breaches for instance, or ensuring we have reliable back-ups for our computer systems. The motto, which all Scouts learn to live by, also spans into the non-digital realm, for example, ensuring your energy bills are under control, or even in planning for retirement.
The education slot followed on from last week’s spotlight on the obligation vs opportunity mindset by focussing on networking. Networking not only provides the chance to gain new clients, but can also be used as an arena for discussion, a place to generate new ideas or help other businesses, all of which ties in with growing your own.
Andy Burton of Burton Electrical Solutions (BES) presented in this week’s business focus spot. With 30 years’ experience, BES is a renowned business where no job is too big or too small. From wiring extensions and external buildings to producing landlord certificates and changing light fittings, Andy’s job is certainly varied… He’s even been know to repair children's electric toy cars!
With lots of referrals, thanks and requests for 1-2-1’s being made towards the end, the meeting was far more than just an obligation!
