Charity, Dementia Friendly East Riding, to benefit from Julian’s Cycling Challenge!
07/04/2021

The big announcement for the start of April was the launch of Julian Minshall’s charity cycling challenge! Julian, who admits he’s cycled very few miles over the last 12 months, is set to embark on regular rides for the next 31 days. From 31st March to 30th April, Julian aims to cycle a total of between 300 and 500 miles — that’s 10 to 17 miles per day! Julian is a keen cyclist, but due to various commitments and the ‘Stay at Home’ order has made it out very little recently. Julian will be raising money through the Just Giving website for Dementia Friendly East Riding, (DFER), If you or someone you know would like to sponsor him on this impressive endeavour, click on the link below.
In further good news, BRBN has attracted two new members to the group: accountancy firm Finnies of Beverley and WPA Healthcare. Welcome!
The education slot this week was a philosophical one. The quote “The world has enough for everyone’s need, but not enough for everyone’s greed.” by Mahatma Gandhi can be applied to many resources. In terms of networking, this means sharing good businesses’ (and therefore individuals) names and passing on referrals so that everyone can benefit from quality services, products and expertise.
The seasoned solicitor, Leon Lurie from James Legal, provided members with lots of helpful information and sticking points in the property market in his 10-minute presentation. A man of great character, Leon entertained us all with his many experiences.
