BRBN: where passion is the word of the week.
09/04/2021

A new month brings a new host at Beverley Referral Business Network. Leon Lurie from James Legal Solicitors takes the chair in April, keeping the group in order and on topic.
In some positive news, Julian Minshall gave the group an update on his charity cycle challenge. Only seven days in, and Julian has already managed to clock over 100 miles! Julian needs a minimum of 300 miles to complete the challenge, although he hopes to cycle closer to 500.The group will be watching his progress closely over the coming weeks.
Passion was the focus of the education spot this week. Being passionate about your business and the products and services you offer is hugely important. With passion comes positivity, which others — both colleagues and clients alike — can sense and feel. It will give others enthusiasm for your business and encourage clients to engage with you. People like being with others that are positive and have a “can-do“ attitude.
The passion that all BRBN members have for what they do comes across at every meeting.
Mandy Aitken, the owner of Home Instead Beverley and Hull, took centre stage this week to deliver her presentation on social care. Mandy gave the group an idea of the potential costs of social care could be when it comes to that stage of life. Many in the group were surprised by this. Remaining in your own home is invariably cheaper than moving into a care home, and reassuringly, that’s where Home Instead come in.
