One to one meetings are as crucial as ever.

A new month brings a new chair, and during May, Lewis Northen is in the hot seat. There was a lot of good news — both business and personal — from members this week, and the round of introductions was full of lively and supportive discussion.
Mandy Aitken and Sam Linton conveyed their gratitude for the money donated by Julian Minshall to Dementia Friendly East Riding (DFER). The giant cheque was handed over at the outdoor social gathering of BRBN members at The Tiger Inn on Lairgate.
This social meeting took centre stage in the education slot this week, as Julian reminded the group about the power of connections. Conversations over an enjoyable drink at The Tiger bore fruit; the group strengthened connections and forged new ones.
All members had the opportunity to learn more about their fellow attendees during the 10 minute one to one session. These discussions are as valuable as the weekly presentation, where one member speaks in detail about an aspect of their business, or indeed, themselves. Having the opportunity to talk on a one to one basis gives each individual a better insight into others in the group, leading to a stronger community and better referrals.
