Football in focus: why subbing works for business networks too.

BRBN Subs (4)

Beverley Referral Business Network welcomed new members and visitors alike this week. The jovial atmosphere and positive news, a constant feature of BRBN sessions, made for an enjoyable session. It was productive, too: many “Thank yous” were passed around the virtual table, and 1-2-1 meetings arranged.

Football was the topic of focus in the education slot. Just as football teams use substitutes to keep the team on track, so business networks also benefit from subs. Without subs, absences are prone to being high, and many businesses are not regularly represented, sadly to their own detriment.

Having substitutes for your business means meeting attendance remains high, sessions are worthwhile, and your business always has a representative. What’s more, there’s a whole new network of people surrounding each sub. You don’t know who their connections are! Substitutes benefit the team as well as the number of referrals.

The group built on last week’s meeting as more 1-2-1s took place this week. Members, as always, found them extremely useful, with many people arranging to continue their conversations after the session.

The Beverley Referral Business Network will be holding an open morning on 9th June from 7.45 to 9.00 am. There will be no restrictions on categories, and all visitors are very welcome. If you’re interested or know someone who would benefit from business networking, get in touch.
