Business networking: a great way to start the day!

It was Lewis Northen’s final turn as chair this week, having done a sterling job for May. With membership growing in numbers, the role of chair is increasingly challenging but enjoyable!

In our education slot this week, Julian Minshall posed three questions:

• Why do we attend networking groups?
• How do we get the most out of networking?
• How does working together benefit our networking activities?

Questions that are well worth answering if we want to use networking sessions to our own advantage as well as that of other members.

The business in focus this week was Em Lets, owned by Em Simpkin, which specialises in all things property. Em Lets offers four services:

• Supporting investors to build their property portfolios
• Offering landlords guaranteed rents.
• Letting properties
• Providing property management services.

Emily gave the group a detailed look at two of these: guaranteed rents and building investors’ property portfolios. The presentation prompted many questions and requests for 1-2-1 meetings from interested members.

Next week, we look forward to a new chair to keep the lively membership in order. We can also anticipate receiving the answers to the networking questions!
