BRBN looks to the Olympics for the right attitude to running a business.
02/08/2021

At the final meeting of July, positive news was in plentiful supply, from people going on holiday for that long-awaited break to those getting their second Covid vaccine. Good news too from Just Beverley as it approaches its 80th issue!
A positive mindset and the advantages of networking were at the centre of this week’s meeting. One member required a Virtual Assistant fluent in Welsh. Quite a tall order, you might think, but for a wide-reaching network, that was no problem. The business owner found their assistant and was able to move on with their project very swiftly!
The education slot was full of inspirational examples of individuals demonstrating exemplary performances, both in the Olympics and closer to home. Just consider the mental focus and strength required to achieve a podium place in the games! Mental resilience and positivity are significant assets, but we often underestimate what they can bring. With them, your options are almost endless. “Never give up on your dreams,” to quote one member!
John Olivant gave members a definitive presentation about growing your business. With the proper knowledge, an end goal to aim for and a large scoop of accountability, growing a business is more than achievable. You just have to learn the processes required.
This week’s meeting was the last to be hosted by Fran Dunning. Next week we pass the baton to member Dave Tunstall, owner of East Riding Wills. Over to you, Dave.
