Don't judge a book by its cover. You never know what lies inside!

BRBN

As August comes to a close, Dave Tunstall conducted his final meeting as chair for the month, and the group welcomed a new member. BRBN members shared both personal and professional good news stories. The Tiger Inn broke more records, Lynne Auton improved her weightlifting PB, and two members reached personal or professional milestones.

We’re all advised never to judge a book by its cover. The same can be said of our clients too. We can make snap judgements about the individuals we come across in our business lives. Still, just like books, you never know what lies beyond the surface. The most unassuming characters could well turn out to be astute businessmen or women who need your services.

And when it comes to new clients, timing is everything. They’ll only come to you when they need you. If the timing isn’t right for them or their business, you may well have to wait for their custom. Which is all the more reason to follow up with prospective customers to make sure you’re in the right place at the right time too.

Instead of a business-in-focus slot, members paired off for short 1-2-1s. Always a valuable and enjoyable exercise, 1-2-1s present the opportunity to catch up with business news in other sectors and discover more about fellow members, making the referral process more effective.

From now on, BRBN will be conducting face-to-face meetings every fortnight. With no limit to indoor venue capacity, members will now be able to meet in person far more regularly than has been possible in the previous 18 months.
