Network members learn the tips and tricks for time management.
14/09/2021

Networking always provides an optimistic start to any day and today’s session was no different. The meeting was back on Zoom this week as the group gradually eases back into face to face meetings. Serious topics were up for discussion before the meeting fully got underway, but the mood was light-hearted.
This week, Stuart Anderson from WPA Healthcare presented a very different education slot, focusing on practical tips to make the best use of the time available. As a business owner, the day quickly fills up, but being more mindful of how we spend our time means we can get more done on any given day. Some of Stuart’s tips included limiting our time checking emails and starting the day with tasks we find less pleasant. Other ways to improve productivity include delegating tasks to colleagues and planning follow-up calls that are time-appropriate for the individuals we are contacting.
Callum O’Connor gave the feature presentation of the meeting. Callum, a fully qualified and competent electrician, is new to owning his own business. He gave the group the fascinating story of how he became a business owner, how he has developed as an individual, and what motivates him on a daily basis.
One key message that surfaced during this week’s meeting was having faith in oneself and one’s abilities. Although not the focus of the education piece, the message certainly resonated with members.
