Even though Covid-19 no longer dominates the news, it’s effects continue to impact business.  And regardless of whether BRBN meetings are face to face or online, business still moves forward.

This week, members learnt of new developments in a number of sectors, including data protection, energy and the payroll and accountancy sectors. And there were several positive news stories and successes that individuals had to relate.

John Olivant presented the education piece. Focusing on the phrase ‘know, like and trust’, John spoke about the importance of turning up to meetings and how this affects people’s knowledge and trust in you. Without showing up, people won’t get to know you, and by missing appointments, potential customers cannot learn to trust you.

Following the education piece, members were invited into breakdown rooms to engage in short 1-2-1 discussions with other members they perhaps hadn’t spoken to for a while. As always, this event went down well with the group; it presents an ideal opportunity to get to know others and their business better.
