BRBN: Bringing value to the table.

This week’s in-person meeting got off to an excellent start. Members quickly established a positive atmosphere through laughter, conversation and enthusiasm.

As a group comprising many individuals at different stages in their career, support is important. Whatever development members want to share: networking successes, business milestones reached, or even personal achievements, contributions are more than just listened to; they’re valued.

BRBN is also a space to learn. This week, understanding how to translate the value or benefits you give to clients was the focus. It’s fine telling prospects what you do. Still, until you can reveal how your product or service will benefit them, prospects may never fully appreciate what you’re offering.

Sam Linton of Aeonian Projects gave a very informative talk about data breaches and how to avoid them. Sam defined what a data breach is, gave examples of how one can happen and how businesses should handle one. Data breaches can have serious implications not just for the companies involved but for their clients, too. Being forearmed is essential.
