BRBN Looking after your business and your family

BRBN Nov (4)

BRBN Virtual and Physical introduce the Double Header.

The Virtual BRBN Meeting held 17.11.2021 - The double header

Why ‘check, coordinate and communicate' is vital to any business.

In this week’s Zoom meeting, members were full of good news about new clients and new projects in their businesses. The group warmly welcomed a new sub too.

Although, in general, BRBN meetings do not have any particular theme, there are times when they come to the fore inadvertently. This week, the theme centred on using the skills of people who know what they’re doing.

It’s always good to try something new, but sometimes it’s good to rely on people who are experts in their field. In the business world, the benefits of connecting with people who know what they’re doing and who are good at it mean that you can use their services and get the job done correctly.

Check, coordinate and communicate were the words central to the education slot. Although we all make mistakes, it’s best to minimise them in any way we can. So, if you are calling someone, or passing on a referral, check you’ve got the correct information. Coordinate: make sure you know who’s doing what. And communicate: make sure you’ve done everything you said you would. If you do, everyone will be happier.

The business in focus was Hammond Financial. Hammond Financial provides a financial safety net for individuals and companies should anything untoward happen in life. Tony Hammond gave the group an update regarding the release of a new product: executive INCOME protection. Tony showed the group a variety of health-related statistics to help them understand the chances of becoming ill and being unable to work as a consequence.

Following the presentation, members went into breakout rooms to have short 1-2-1s, which was, as always, a worthwhile exercise.

BRBN brainstorms the benefits of networking

Despite the colder mornings, members were still enthusiastic about taking part in this week’s face to face meeting at The Tiger Inn. And this week, there was a lot of positive news from both a personal and professional perspective. Members shared stories of their children’s successes as well as their business milestones.

The network also welcomed a visitor this week who was completely new to networking. So, as part of the education slot, each member was asked to write down three benefits to networking. The list that ensued did not disappoint. The group mentioned everything from meeting potential new clients and engaging in joint ventures to improving personal confidence levels, finding support and socialising.

As a continuation of last week’s presentation, Tony Hammond, owner of Hammond Financial, gave the ‘business in focus’ presentation. Tony specialises in insurance and mortgages and this week provided an update about the release of a new product: executive income protection.

Executive income protection is insurance owned by a business that can protect employees, business revenue, and shareholders should something unexpected happen. This is a very cost-effective way of protecting a business and providing them with a financial safety net.
