The final meeting of the year, and BRBN gets festive!

The final meeting of the year was held online, and it had a festive feel, with Christmas trees and a festive jumper bringing Christmas cheer. Members welcomed a visitor, too; it’s always great to hear of young businesses doing so well.

The Christmas quiz was the highlight of the meeting. Twenty questions all on the subject of Christmas, from the significance of holly (it represents the crown of thorns Christ wore during the crucifixion) to the founding country of the Christmas stocking (Italy). The highest score was 14 points! Well done to the winner!

The education slot was all about goal setting and thinking ahead to 2022. When setting business goals, money is often the first thing people consider. But this may not be the best subject to start with. You could start by brainstorming what you want in your life or what you want to do with your time. With an idea of the kind of lifestyle you want, either in the coming months or in the longer term, you can think about the amount of money you need to achieve it.

Once you’ve looked into the kind of life you’d like to live, then health becomes a priority. Without our health, we could struggle to do the things we want. And finally, thinking about our long term wealth is also sensible; planning for a time when we may no longer wish to work or preparing for those bigger goals we want to work up to.

Whatever your goals for next year and beyond. Merry Christmas and have a prosperous 2022!
