BRBN welcomes 10 minutes from Jo showcasing her business the HR People Hub

The first Thursday physical meeting of March, Spring in the air and Jo delivering the perfect 10 minute slot showcasing her business The HR People Hub.

Jo, a new member to the BRBN networking group started by thanking everyone for making her feel so welcome, and being given the opportunity to present on a lovely Spring morning.

Jo explained her journey to get to be in HR and the journey to run HR People Hub, a people‑first HR consultancy supporting small businesses with practical, compliant and human HR.

Jo emphasised how her work focuses on helping owners feel confident with their people decisions; from the first hello to the final goodbye.

Whilst 10 minutes is never long enough, Jo managed to cover recent tribunal trends and highlighting key points:-
• A rise in claims linked to inconsistent processes and documentation
• Growing expectations around reasonable adjustments and wellbeing
• The real financial and reputational impact when the basics slip.

Jo concluded inviting 1-2-1’s to understand more about her business and If anyone would like a deeper dive into any of these areas, or a quick sense‑check.

Host Chris Leadley, thanked Jo for a great insight into her business, followed with the usual round of 60 seconds.

Following a lovely breakfast provided by The Ferguson Fawsitt a quick Ed Slot “Every day is a school Day. you never stop learning”, the important passing of referrals, Thank you’s, 1-2-1’s testimonials took the meeting to 8.55am, just time for Fran to remind everyone of the social in a few weeks time.
